POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – April 10, 2026 – First Midwest Bank is pleased to announce the construction of a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art headquarters facility in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The new building will be centrally located at 2895 Kanell Blvd., at the intersection of State Highway PP and Shelby Road.

The new facility will serve as the central hub for the First Midwest Bank group, housing executive leadership, lending operations and customer support teams, while also functioning as the primary bank location for customers in the Poplar Bluff area. Designed with modern banking needs in mind, the headquarters will feature expanded office space, enhanced technology infrastructure, and collaborative environments to better serve both employees and customers. A key feature of the new headquarters will be a dedicated community room, designed to serve as both an internal training space and a resource for local businesses and organizations to host meetings and events.

“As our organization has grown over the years, we have exceeded the capacity of our current home office property,” McLane added. “This new facility will allow us to better support our employees and customers by bringing all our staff back under one roof. It’s a necessary and exciting step as we continue to look to the future.”

Construction is expected to begin mid-2026 with an estimated completion in early 2028.

The project is being designed and managed by Structure First, a Cincinnati-based financial institution consultancy, in collaboration with MG Architects, known for creating functional and visually appealing banking spaces.
