Dear First Midwest Bank of Poplar Bluff Customer,
I’m writing to inform you of an exciting development taking place with our organization. On Friday, December 3, 2021, our “sister” bank, First Midwest Bank of the Ozarks, will merge with and into First Midwest Bank of Poplar Bluff. While First Midwest Bank of Poplar Bluff will be the surviving bank charter, we have decided to retain the name First Midwest Bank of the Ozarks following the merger, as we believe it is the most reflective of our growing geographical locations.
The decision to merge was made in part because we believe it will prevent the confusion that sometimes occurred between our separate bank charters. You will also benefit from the expansion of bank locations, giving you access to more branches to conduct your banking business.
Within the following pages you will find important information about the upcoming merger, including key dates, resources, and answers to questions you may have about your account.
It is very important to us to ensure most customers will not experience any disruption in accounts or services. We do, however, have a large data merge planned for the weekend of December 3, and we wanted you to be aware of what to expect.

Saturday, December 4
- All branch locations will be closed during merger weekend. However, please see extended customer service phone hours below.
- Online and Mobile Banking may experience a brief period of downtime.
Monday, December 6
- First Midwest Bank of Poplar Bluff and First Midwest Bank of the Ozarks will officially open as one institution.
- Updated Mobile Banking app will be available in the App Store or Google Play.

Online & Mobile Banking

First Midwest Online and Mobile Banking may experience a brief period of downtime on Saturday, December 4. We apologize for any inconvenience and will have the system up and running as quickly as possible.
Mobile Banking App
If you currently use our Mobile Banking app for iPhone or Android, an update will be available on Monday, December 6. If you do not currently allow auto-updates on your mobile device, please initiate an update through the App Store or Google Play.
Buzz Points
If you are currently enrolled in our Buzz Points debit card rewards program, your login credentials will remain the same and your point balance will not change. However, your transaction history will be reset. Please contact the bank if you need assistance researching past transactions.
Loans
Loan Accounts
Your loan account details and loan numbers will not change.
Online Loan Payment Portal
Our online loan payment portal will be updated to the newest version during merger weekend. If you currently use our payment portal for one-time or recurring loan payments, you will need to recreate your profile and set up any desired payments when the program is back up and running beginning at 10am on Monday, December 6.
