Online Bill Pay Updates See what’s coming!

First Midwest is pleased to announce exciting changes to your Online Bill Pay experience! These updates will go live on Monday, August 10.

Important Dates

  • Monday, August 3: Your Bill Pay account will be inaccessible for one week beginning August 3. Previously scheduled payments will still be sent during this time, but you will not have access to initiate payments during the transition period.
  • Monday, August 10: You will login to your updated Bill Pay account through FMB Online Banking and select the Bill Pay tab. You will no longer need two separate credentials!

New Features

Single Sign-on
Since Bill Pay will now be built into First Midwest Online Banking, you will no longer need to use two separate credentials to access your account.

P2P Payments
Person-to-person payments will allow you to transfer funds to anyone in real-time, with multiple layers of fraud protection built in.

This feature will allow you to pay bills by simply taking a photo of your bill and entering the amount due. Your payee will be added to your Bill Pay account automatically.

A2A Payments
Account-to-account payments will allow you to securely move your funds between financial institutions.

This one-stop bill management tool will provide your payment history, statements, and bill details such as due dates, balances, account statuses, and enhanced notification reminders through text or email.

This is an electronic safety deposit box where you can save and search for bills, receipts, insurance documents, and more. Keep your documents secure in our trusted digital environment.


How do I access the new First Midwest Online Bill Pay on August 10?
Your Bill Pay account will now be located directly within First Midwest Online Banking. Visit our website and select “My Account” in the upper right corner of your screen to login to Online Banking. Once logged in, you will find the Bill Pay tab near the top of your screen.

Will I lose history?
Your payee information and payment history will be available through the new Online Bill Pay program. Please contact us if you have trouble seeing your history.

How does scheduling electronic payments work with the new Online Bill Pay program?
Electronic deposits will be debited from your checking account on the “send on” date and will be delivered to the payee on the “estimated delivery” date, which is normally 2 business days later.

How do I access Bill Pay from the Mobile Banking app?
Your Bill Pay account will be accessible from within the Mobile Banking app. Launch the app, sign in using your Online Banking credentials, and find the Bill Pay option in the left menu bar.
